Learnapalooza

Learnapalooza 2018 was an exciting showcase of local learning opportunities! Both teachers and learners enjoyed the event and the connections they made.

Learnapalooza is Sunday, Sept. 15th, 11am-3:30pm.

at the Sebastopol Grange, 6000 Sebastopol Ave, Hwy 12.

LEARNapalooza is a showcase of local classes and workshops of all kinds!
Come learn about local resources, enjoy hands-on activities, watch demonstrations, talk to teachers!
Here’s just some of the organizations and instructors you’ll find at LEARNapalooza:
  • Chimera Maker Space director Joe Szuecs who will share laser-cutting wood projects and displays of other Chimera classes.
  • SoCo Aerial Collective instructor Kristen Krupp will demonstrate (after 1pm) gravity-defying aerial dance and fitness routines.
  • Sebastopol Community Cultural Center will be on hand, with instructor Judah Johnson.demonstrating their dog-training class.
  • Cheryl King, owner of Stage Left Studio and Improv Instructor, who will provide two live improv demonstrations with students and willing audience members
  • Chimera instructor Linton Hale, who teaches classes on WordPress website building and music classes.
  • Caroline Wong, owner of Sonoma Flow Farm, who will demonstrate some of the glass art projects she teaches.
  • Matt Bailey with ConnectED Tech & Gaming will do fun music tech demonstrations. Their program is for youth ages 8-18.
  • Alliance Française de Santa Rosa will share information about the French language and culture classes the organization offers.
  • Adriane Hatkoff, instructor with the Santa Rosa Junior College Lifelong Learning Program, will do demonstrations of her watercolor classes.
  • Cheryl Franklin, of CherylTeachMusic school, will bring a wide variety of musical instruments that students of all ages can learn to play at her school.
  • En Garde Fencing school instructor Alanna, who will demonstrate this fun and fast-paced sport and martial art for all ages.
  • Artaluma instructor Tara Dickinson will share some of the art projects students can learn in her classes.
  • Amy Crawford, owner of Heritage Farm Florals, will demo some basic flower arrangements the students can create when they take one of her farm workshops.
