Cheryl draws on Viola Spolin’s theater game tradition, using techniques she learned working with Gary Austin (LA, Groundlings) and Michael Gellman (Chicago, Second City).

Cheryl King’s improvisation classes are well-known to students across the US – from NYC to LA. She assisted Gary Austin (founder of the Groundlings, LA) in his workshops for most of the early 2000’s and has experience in both long and short-form improv. Her teaching style reflects her acting and playwriting experience.
