The Community Seed Exchange is excited to announce our Annual Garlic Growing Class- this year hear from a panel of enthusiastic and knowledgeable garlic growers about what it takes to grow a great crop of garlic. There are different ways to approach growing garlic and we wanted to bring together a panel of experts to share their approaches and different ways to get a great crop.
Lynda Lyle- a true lover of hardneck varieties, Bob Malone of Rusty Fence Ranch who grows garlic seed for sale and our own Sara McCamant with 30 years of garlic growing experience will talk about how to approach growing garlic and different ways to do it.
Join us for the class and then if interested select some garlic from our Chester Aaron Garlic Stewardship Program.
Become a garlic steward and help care for our diverse collection.
After the class, you can learn about the Chester Aaron Garlic Stewardship Project
The Community Seed Exchange is looking for experienced gardeners willing to grow garlic varieties for our Garlic Stewardship Program in honor of Chester Aaron. Keep some of the garlic for the kitchen, some for re-planting and bring the rest back to share at next year’s community event.
