During this 3-hour workshop, students will learn two structures in one by creating accordion books with a removable spine — all without using any adhesives!
Students will learn the art of the precision fold, creating an accordion fold book out of a long strip of paper. After that we will cut two pieces of board that will be attached to the accordion without using any glue. This structure will be finished with a small ‘spine piece’ that holds the book together to become a codex structure. By removing the spine you are able to use the book as an accordion.
