This class aims to empower students with a personal visual vocabulary to create narrative with ceramics. By identifying relevant symbols and motifs, students will learn to communicate big ideas with small visual gestures. Further, students will learn to meld two dimensional and three dimensional forms as they create characters and settings in their work. In this class, students will gain experience using hard and soft slabs, bisque molds, and terra sigalatta. This class is open to all ages and skill levels.
$30 materials fee due at registration covers your first bag of clay, firings, and glazes. Additional clay can be purchased as needed.
