Learn about the natural and cultural history of Sonoma Mountain with university staff and experts. This 4-day training at SSU’s Fairfield Osborn Preserve will give you new insights and skills to enrich yourself and to share with others.
As a trained naturalist, you will be welcomed into a community of volunteers who enjoy exclusive events, hikes, and overnight field trips with regional experts.
• 4-days training and 1-day practice tour: 10 am to 4 pm on consecutive Sundays (Jan 13 – Feb 3) and Friday Feb 8.
• At least 5 tours for school children (grades 3-5): 9:30 am to 2:30 pm on Fridays (Feb 15, 22, March 1, 8, 22) or Wednesday (March 13).
Trainings and tours are at SSU’s Fairfield Osborn Preserve Education Center, a 15-min drive from Sonoma State’s main campus.
