3D Printing Basics

The class includes an overview of Fused Disposition Manufacturing (FDM) 3D Printing. Slicing object files using Ultimaker Cura will be demonstrated along with the basic settings and how to position objects within the print area. The class will provide hands on training for operating the Ender-3 3D printer.

No files necessary. Packing a lunch is suggested.

About the Instructor:

Dr. Andy Cohen has over 28 years working for Fortune 100 companies as a Systems Engineer, Engineering Manager and Project Manager. While at these companies he employed versions of additive manufacturing for developing detailed prototypes for the Telecommunications, Defense and Aerospace industries. Prior to retirement Andy was the owner and operator of eStuff+ and Sonoma County 3DPrinting. Andy is currently the Producer and Co-host of the 3D Printing Today, currently the most listened to 3D Printing podcast.
